As Senior Electrical Engineer for Equalize Health, Chris is responsible for electronics development including design, prototyping, testing, transfer to manufacturing, and field support. His PhD and previous degrees are from the University of Illinois at Urbana / Champaign. Graduate work in laser spectroscopy led him to a position developing scientific lasers, then medical lasers, and eventually general medical products. He has contributed to products which perform corneal sculpting, dermatology procedures, cervical cancer detection, detection of plaques in cardiac arteries, endometrial ablation, duodenal ablation, and insertion of brain-computer interface electrodes. Chris has always aspired to make the world a better place, so the mission to create medical technology for everyone is a great match.
Born and raised in the Chicago area and educated in central Illinois, the majority of Chris’ professional life was in the Boston area. A long time runner, cyclist, and épée fencer, Chris moved to the San Francisco area in 2020 to be closer to family.
