As a Mechanical Engineering Fellow, Gilad works as a member of the New Product Development team. Through the rapid development of functional prototypes and continued improvement of promising models, he supports Equalize Health’s goal of increasing access to healthcare globally. Gilad graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Oregon, and a Master of Applied Bioengineering from the University of Washington. His prior experience includes protein-based therapeutics, affordable prosthesis development, hospital equipment, personal protective equipment, neotropical ecology, and insulin devices for natural disaster relief. After volunteering in medical clinics internationally, and developing products locally, Gilad is pursuing his passion for creating solutions that improve people’s lives around the world.
On the weekends you will find him in the mountains skiing or backpacking, exploring his hometown of Seattle, or making functional pottery.
